The Governor Michigan elects tomorrow will have his hands full.

Reading this essay by John Bebow from the Center for Michigan leaves me even more atune to the complexity the next Governor faces.

My thoughts are that Michigan’s citizen will have to be willing to think through the issues we face.  We need to focus on the common good.  If each citizen wants to be sure that their specific status is maintained or improved – we are in for four more years of finger pointing and name calling.  I am not a political scientist, but my strong guess is that, that behavior will set Michigan back even further.
